Strong faith

Today I had a wake up call.

I went to help out and volunteer at the Court house with Elaine.
One of our friends stopped in-- she's from Siera Leon. She was sharing some of her stories with us-- she began to speak of her family being Muslim and her choosing to follow Jesus Christ.

Basically because of her choice to follow Jesus, her family disowned her. Her family would punish her in ways that I could not even imagine. Yet she is still a believer-- she stood strong.
If you were put up against your family and were punished and humiliated, would you stand strong in your faith?

I've grown up in a family of believers, I've never had to stand up for my faith against what my parents believe. Even to the point of my parents punishing me in horrible ways.
I think we take things for granted.
You see, we can believe what we want to without being beaten for it. Yet in other countries people are being torn apart for their beliefs.

Let's be thankful for what we have and pray for those who don't have the same priviledges.

Deep Peace.

Yester-Year

Yesterday I connected back with some friends in New Jersey.
It was really nice.
Even though it has been years since we have seen one another, and just about the same since we have chatted-- I thought of them often.
I have memories that I hold dear to my heart.

I would like to encourage you to re-connect with some one from your "yester-year"...
The one you know that you should connect with. You can't update yourself on every one you used to talk to-- but there are the ones that you just know you should catch up on. The ones where you invested in their lives and they invested in yours.
Be thankful for the friends that God placed in your life throughout the years.

Deep Peace.

Updateroo

Still our cells are up in numbers-- which means some fresh new relationships-- Praise the Lord.

There could be some possible changes around here with the way 614 looks: some additions that is. So if you could keep in your prayers that God's will be seen and brought into being, that would be wonderful.

It's been snowing around here lately... weird weather actually. One second it will be snowing hard and then the sun is shining through. God is very creative.

Yeah, so, nothing too in depth here-- Just thought I would give you all a little update on what is going on. There will be more later.

Hey just wondering, is anyone reading a good book these days? What is it?

Deep Peace.

Home on the Range

We have now officially multilied our one cell group into two.
One is on Monday night and the other is on the same night, Tuesday.
We were packed at our place so we figured multiplying would help...
Turns out the Monday night cell had 8 people show up and then the Tuesday night cell had 14 people show up. Can you believe it?! God is good! A lot of people is a good problem to have!

It is really exciting to see God drawing people into community-- and fast.
I really like that I know people in a deeper way now...
When we moved here I wanted to be open and receptive to what the Lord had-- now a few times I've been out on the strets driving around, or walking around, and London has felt like home. It's a nice feeling to have. I think it is friends and family that make a place home.

Deep Peace.

Revive us.

I have to give you a bit of a picture of what this Sunday looked like at God's house.

After we finished singing to the Lord, Major got up and began to speak. He brought a word that was to challenge the body of Christ into deeper waters.
He spoke of our part in a Revival-- Prayer and Humbling ourselves.

He began to go on and talk about how we continue to call out to God for Revival when the Lord gives it freely. The Lord freely gives us revival, we need to step up and do our part.
We need to humble ourselves and pray.
We continue to say "God bring revival, bring it now!" and yet we don't do out part.
He spoke with authority and challenged the believers.

At the end, the pastor challenged the sheep to kneel down and to humble ourselves before God.
The whole congregation went down. People rushed to the mercy seat. People cried out to God, weeping for forgiveness.
This all seems to connect with a word that I read about a faithful follower of Jesus hearing from the Lord: "The Salvation Army is coming into its finest hour."
I believe it.

God is good.
Be holy.
Deep Peace.

Crash and.. Ah, Recovery.

Last night was Knee Drill.
One of those one's where it is really tough and you just have to keep on pressing in...
Even when it seems to be a road block-- DO NOT ENTER!!

Plus to add to that, the keyboard that Josh uses to play some tunes, which usually helps us focus on the Lord's face.... was malfunctioning. The petal wasn't working-- OH NO! Well not to any one else but to a musicians ear, it was a big Uh-Oh. Josh perservered, and I got ticked off with the petal chord. Oh well..

Then the Lord brought things back around and into focus-- Faithful.
We had some serious silent spaces, then the Lord just really stirred up some testimonies, and there you have it-- the Lord just wanted us to share with one another. Share why we were there, a testimony, to light a fire under the devils ... you get my gyst.

After that it was smooth sailin'. God of course was present and we all learned from one another.
I love seeing the body work together with it's many parts.

Open our ears Lord we want to hear you.
Peace to you.

Lotta people in one room...

We had about 18 people in our home last night...
It was quite encouraging-- and quite close I might add.
It was for our Tuesday cell group. We have multiplied. Now we officially have 2 stable cells. NICE!

Please keep our continued cell multiplication and salvations in your prayers.

Praise the Lord.

Peace to you.
